December has been a tough month for the TV personality, Nick Cannon. The star lost his son to cancer early in the month, and now, he says he feels guilty for not spending enough time with him.

While others celebrated the dawn of the festive season, Cannon was mourning the loss of his 5-month-old son Zen. Little Zen passed on from a brain tumor.

Thinking it was a bad case of sinuses, Cannon and Zen’s mother, Alyssa Scott, took him to the doctors, who disclosed that he had high-grade glioma.

The doctors immediately took him in for surgery that was very successful. The hopeful parents were happy to see their baby continue playing with his siblings.

However, during Thanksgiving, things took a nasty turn, and the tumor began growing bigger. The condition soon got worse, and on December 5, Zen passed away.

However, the father of seven got to spend the last moments with his son. He took little Zen to the beach, and they played in the sand one last time.

Following his son’s tragic passing, the “Wild N Out” host opened up about his grief. Speaking to People, he said that he has been experiencing feelings of guilt.

“My heart is shattered. I wish I could have done more, spent more time with him, taken more pictures. I wish I could have hugged him longer,” he confessed.

Celebrities and fans alike came forward to share Cannon’s loss, pay tribute to Zen, and support the grieving family during trying times.

He thanked his fans for sending out their love and acknowledged that their support meant a lot to him and the family.

Cannon is a father of seven, all born to four different baby mamas. He shares his eldest kids, twins Moroccan and Monroe, 10, with award-winning songstress Mariah Carey.
