‘Cobra Kai’ Season 5 News, Release Date, Cast, and Spoilers

Cobra Kai is finally back for season 4, and it looks like the stakes are higher than ever. With the future of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang in the hands of our fave new karate kids, there’s a chance we might have to say goodbye to the two best dojos in the valley for good. Of course, if you’re reading this, that means you know what happens and you’re already crossing your fingers for another season, especially after the wild reveal at the end. While we won’t spoil it all for you, we’ve still got important info about the future of Coba Kai that you definitely don’t want to miss.

Here’s everything you need to know about Cobra Kai season 5.

Is Cobra Kai season 5 actually happening?

If you’re a Cobra Kai super-fan, then maybe this won’t come as much of a surprise, but yes! Netflix renewed the series back in August for a fifth season which means we’ll have plenty more karate fights to look forward to. That said, there’s no word if we’ll get any more episodes beyond that, so let’s hope for the best!

Remind me: What happened in season 4, where did we leave off?

After what went down at the All Valley Tournament, it looks like this might officially be the end of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang. However, Tory knows that she actually didn’t win her fight fair and square, which will probably cause a rift between her and Silver. Unfortunately for her, Kreese just went to jail after Silver and Stingray accused him of being the one who attacked Stingray and sent him to the hospital, so she lost her biggest ally at Cobra Kai.

Miguel decided to look for his dad, much to Johnny’s surprise. However, Vanessa reveals that Miguel’s dad doesn’t know he actually exists (!!!) which means that his surprise visit certainly won’t go well. Meanwhile, Daniel heads over to Mr. Miyagi’s grave to apologize for what happened but promises to take down Cobra Kai for good. Suddenly, Chozen appears and it looks like the two former rivals are finally going to partner up and take down Silver!

Has Cobra Kai season 5 started filming?

Actually, they’ve finished filming! Martin Kove, who plays Kreese, confirmed that filming wrapped on December 19, 2021 on his Instagram.

When will Cobra Kai season 5 premiere?

Even though Netflix finished filming season 5 before season 4 was even released, we might have to wait a bit to actually see it on our screens. It seems like Netflix likes to keep Cobra Kai as a New Year’s Eve release based on these last two seasons. It’s a safe bet to say that season 5 might follow suit and come out on December 31, 2022.
