Bob Saget Dies at 65 — His ‘Full House’ Co-stars Mourn the Sudden Loss of the Beloved Actor, Husband & Father

“Full House” Danny Tanner actor Bob Saget’s death left not only his real-life family devastated but also his on-screen family heartbroken as “Full House” cast members shared their grief online.

On January 9, 2022, Bob Saget passed away in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida. The comedian had just begun his comedy tour, “I Don’t Do Negative.”

The Orange Country Sheriff’s Office revealed that deputies responded to the hotel regarding an unresponsive man, who was then identified as Saget and pronounced dead on the scene.

No cause of death has been announced thus far. However, the Sheriff’s Office stated on

Twitter

that detectives did not find any signs of foul play or drug use in connection to his death.

Saget’s various costars and colleagues from his career paid tribute for the “How I Met Your Mother” alum online, including his “Full House” and “Fuller House” costars, Candace Cameron Bure, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

On Twitter, Bure, who played DJ Tanner on “Full House,” expressed that she did not know what to say about the situation. Bure described Saget as one of the best people she had ever met.

Stamos, Uncle Jesse, explained he was in utter shock and heartbroken about Saget’s passing. He shared his love for his costar and admitted he would never have another friend like Saget.

Coulier, Joey Gladstone from “Full House,” kept his tribute short. He shared a photo of himself and Saget holding hands and wrote he would never let Saget go.

Actresses and business duo Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played Michelle, shared a joint statement and described Saget as a loving, generous, and compassionate man. The statement continued:

“We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has.”

Following the news of Saget’s passing, his family released a statement that read they were “devastated” to confirm his passing and that he was “everything” to his family.

The Saget family wanted the beloved actor’s fans to know that he loved them, performing live and bringing people together with laughter. They asked for privacy but invited others to join in remembering the joy Saget brought to the world.

Saget left behind his wife, Kelly Rizzo, who he married in 2018, and his three grown-up daughters, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer, whom he shared with his ex-wife Sherri Kramer.
